CricsApp Privacy Policy

CricsApp ("CricsApp", "we", "our", or "us") is a cricket platform that provides cricket scoring, match management, player and team profiles, tournaments, statistics, community features, media sharing, notifications, ground-related features, and other cricket-related services.

By using CricsApp, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, CricsApp may collect or process the following information.

Account and profile information

• Name, profile photo, email address, and mobile number when provided
• User ID and login or authentication information
• Cricket profile information

If Google Sign-In is used, CricsApp may receive information made available through your Google account according to the permissions you grant.

Cricket and match information

• Teams, team memberships, and player profiles
• Matches, scores, scorecards, and match officials
• Batting, bowling, and fielding statistics
• Tournaments, grounds, venues, and match attendance
• Awards, rankings, and performance statistics

Some cricket information may be publicly visible because CricsApp is designed to provide cricket scores, statistics, and player or team information.

Photos, videos, camera, and microphone

CricsApp may request access to your camera, microphone, photos, or videos when you choose features such as profile photos, team logos, community posts, match media, video recording, live streaming, DRS or review recording, or media editing and sharing. CricsApp uses these permissions for the feature you request.

Location information

CricsApp may use approximate or precise location when required for location-based features, such as finding nearby cricket grounds, venues, matches, stores, services, or other relevant cricket facilities. Location access is subject to the permissions granted on your device.

Community and user-generated content

When you use community or social features, we may process posts, images, videos, comments, reactions, poll responses, and other content you submit. Content intentionally posted publicly may be visible to other CricsApp users.

Device and technical information

• Device, app version, and operating system information
• Crash and diagnostic information
• Notification identifiers or tokens
• Basic usage and performance information

2. How We Use Information

We may use collected information to:

• Create, maintain, and authenticate user accounts
• Provide cricket scoring, scorecards, match history, statistics, and rankings
• Manage players, teams, tournaments, grounds, and live-score updates
• Deliver relevant notifications
• Provide community, media upload, location, live streaming, and video features

• Detect misuse, fraud, or security issues
• Provide customer support and maintain and improve CricsApp services

We do not use device permissions for purposes unrelated to the functionality for which they were requested.

3. Android Permissions

Depending on the features used and Android version, CricsApp may request:

• Camera: To take photos, record cricket videos, use DRS or video features, scan supported QR codes, or live stream.
• Photos, videos, or media: To select, upload, edit, save, or share cricket-related images and videos.
• Location: To provide nearby grounds, venues, matches, and other location-based functionality.
• Microphone: When audio is required while recording or streaming video.
• Notifications: For match updates, scoring notifications, requests, tournament information, and other relevant CricsApp notifications.

Permissions are requested when required by the relevant feature and can generally be controlled through Android device settings.

4. Service Providers and Information Sharing

CricsApp may use trusted providers for authentication, push notifications, cloud hosting and storage, media delivery, crash reporting or diagnostics, payment processing, and video or streaming functionality. These providers may process limited information as necessary to provide their services and may have their own privacy policies.

CricsApp does not sell users' personal information.

Information may be shared:

• With service providers that operate CricsApp infrastructure or functionality
• When users intentionally publish information or share cricket information with teams, tournaments, or other users
• To comply with applicable laws, court orders, or lawful government requests
• To investigate fraud, abuse, security threats, or violations of applicable terms
• In a lawful business restructuring, merger, acquisition, or transfer, subject to applicable requirements

5. Public Cricket Information

Certain information is intended to form part of the public cricket record within CricsApp. This may include player names, cricket profiles and photos, team memberships, match participation, scorecards, statistics, match results, rankings, awards, and cricket achievements. Users should avoid submitting personal information that is not necessary for cricket-related functionality.

6. Data Security

CricsApp uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect user information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Where appropriate, data transmitted between the application and our servers is protected using secure network communication. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide CricsApp services, maintain legitimate cricket records, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain security. Retention periods may vary by information type.

Certain match and scorecard information may be retained as part of historical cricket records after other account-related personal information is deleted, where legally permissible and necessary to preserve the integrity of match records.

8. Account and Data Deletion

Users can request deletion of their CricsApp account and associated personal data through the account or profile settings in CricsApp or through our external account-deletion page.

When a valid request is processed, CricsApp will delete or anonymize personal information associated with the account, except information that must reasonably be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or other legitimate purposes. Where information must be retained, we limit its retention and use to the applicable purpose.

9. Your Choices

You may update certain profile information, control Android permissions and supported notification settings, choose whether to provide optional information, remove supported user-generated content, and request account and personal-data deletion. Removing a permission may cause dependent features to stop working.

10. Children's Privacy

CricsApp is a general cricket platform and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. Where services are made available to minors, CricsApp will comply with applicable requirements concerning children's privacy and Google Play policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when CricsApp functionality, data practices, legal requirements, or third-party services change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective or revision date.
